First hunt with Exploer

Friday was my first serious hunt with my new Explorer SE Pro. Went to several old town parks in CEntral Nebraska. Listened mostly for higher tone stuff that was deeper than 4". Got a 1938 Merc, a 1951 Rosie and 7 wheat cents. Not bad for first time out. I think this machine will do me just fine.
Thanks
Pastor Bob

P.........Bob..........It's a great detector, I've found a lot of silver coinage etc...with mine. It takes a while to get use to it, but once you do you won't want to use anything else..Also, nice hunt and finds....................

John in Va....

I started with the Explorer 2 then switched to the SE and never looked back. You will love it.

Dave,
I have been really thinking of getting E-Trac lately.
What is your thoughts on the two different machines?
Thanks for your input.
I mean if they are virtually the same machine why spend the extra money right?

He uses an Explorer SE most of the time..and his E-trac about 1/3 of the time we hunt together.
He taught me and everyone else who has ever hunted with him that the key to park hunting success with the explorers was to hunt in conductive sounds and that "sounds" rule.

He has told me time and time again that he just prefers the unmistakable sound that Explorers make over silver and that the E-Trac simply can't match it.
He does like the e-Trac... uses it often...feels the sound is good and that it is smooth in iron...but just can't sound off like the Explorer does over silver...and that the sound is why the explorer is still his main detector..

Sounds like you had a nice hunt Bob. Enjoy your SE....and those sweet tones.
