First hunt with Excalibur 11

I picked up my new Excalibur on Monday and took it down to the beach yesterday morning for a try. Spent pretty much all my time on the wet sand for a handful of coins and a silver bracelet.

Very impressed with the way it handles.

Thanks Tom, I was pretty lucky as there was a nice fresh cut on the beach when I got there :)

Did you use stock set up? Just got mine and tried it in my yard. Arm started going numb. Just ordered Plugger 3 piece!

Good hunt Raven!

The Excal has probably found more treasure than any other detector, but Dual Field is fast catching up!

No, I had read where they are hard to use on the standard shaft so as soon as I got it home I put it on an old straight shaft I had. Mounted the controls under the cuff.

Still heavy but getting used to it and it swings well on land and in the water.

Good luck with yours!
