First hunt with 705

At a Siding

New member
After much homework, I went with a X-Terra 705 from North Georgia Relics. After testing it out in my yard a couple of times, I went on my first hunt at my church in Damascus PA. Found this 1918 D Dime in the first ten minuets! Found a few dimes about 8" down also. The discrimination worked really well, and I dug almost no junk at all. Pretty pleased so far.

Nice coin and welcome to the forum. North Georgia is a good place to deal with. Super nice guy.

Thanks... The camera is a Canon IS 5. It has a super macro option. You can really see the scratches and some gouges that I can't even see with the naked eye.

8" is good depth , and a good find congradulations

If you're digging dimes at 8-inches already, you are well on your way to discovering some excellent treasures. Congrats on a great start! HH Randy

Congratulations! Just got my first Merc the other day. Not quite that old though. Like Digger & Gunner said, if your getting dimes at 8" already, I think you are going to have a few nice surprises very soon.
