First hunt this year with the F70

I headed for a home site in a corn field a mile from my home. The 6in coil if fantastic for hunting among the corn stalks and the depth is unreal for such a small coil. The ground was still almost too wet to walk in but I stayed almost a half hour anyway. No way I was going to get skunked. I finally got a decent target and was happy when I dug it. Last fall this site gave up a couple of IH fatties, a 2 cent piece and some other old buttons. As soon as it dries out some more I'm going back. Even though there was no CW activity here there were many men from this county that served in the army so I find eagle buttons at many of the old home sites.

Nice to see some results with the F70. I have been out a little in Indiana but it snowed again today. If nothing else it makes it tougher to make yourself walk out the door.
Keep us posted on your success with the F70 a lot of us have just gotten them and have been too frozen to play.

I live in east central Indiana in Randolph Co. Last fall my F70 and 6in coil got me at least a half dozen large cents, I don't know how many IH both fatties and the later ones and a couple 2 cent pieces. I think I got a few shield nickels with it too. It's a great field hunting machine. I've hardly used the stock coil though.

That button is awesome Phil!!!!!
