First Hunt of the Year

I took the Deleon out for a hunt on a south facing slope today with my buddy John. We worked the areas where the snow had melted away and both had some good luck. It sure felt great to be out swinging again although my elbow was plenty sore by the end of the day. Out of practice over the winter I guess!

Anyhow, the Deleon sniffed out a bit of clad, a 1942 George VI penny and a 1956 nickel and two sex tokens. Plus a tire pressure gauge circa 1916, part of an old compact, a bullet and a cheap turtle shaped pendant with a missing stone. And best of all, a nice .925 silver ring.

Here's the loot...

Gotta love it, first hunt of the year and I get my first ring of the year too! Here's a close up...

Congrats on the nice ring !
Lots of interesting finds .

The ring is a nice keeper, seeing pictures of finds showing up here is definitely a good thing.

Nice outing Scott. Although a bit south and a lot east of you, snow was piled up until this past weekend for me too. Got out Saturday for about an hour and got a grand total of $0.87 and some tabs; nothing older than 1980.

Go get them rings!!
Cheers,
tvr
