First hunt of 2016 nets silver.

Met up with a buddy to hunt a recreation field that has produced quite a bit of jewelry. The weather was a little brisk today, it finally made it up to 42 around noon time with no sun to be seen. The field did not disappoint either one of us today as we both were able to score some junk and silver jewelry again. This field is about 10 acres at least and right in the middle of a university and is heavily used. We didn't even begin to make a small dent before we called it a day. I got my first silver ring and earring along with a handful of clad to start the year off on a good note. I was using my E-trac and the 13" Ultimate coil, which worked like a dream, I was able to hit on some small stuff even with the big coil. I ran a wide open screen, no disc and auto sens.I was amazed at how well the 13" coil pinpoints, it seemed like it is as good or better than the stock coil. I've never had much luck with larger coils until i started using the Ultimate, I think I may have a new favorite coil. I've got a feeling it's going to be a very good year. Thanks for looking.

WTG....!!!! I'm sidelined since Nov., only 3 months to go....lol

I just bought a new Etrac as a backup so funds are low right now but I am interested in your opinion on the 13". Do you have to trade out some separation for a little extra Depth?

To answer your question IMO, the answer is " NO ". The Ultimate 13 coil is the best I have seen on the E-Trac.!!! It has much greater separation and depth then the stock coil and just plain and simple out performs most other coils large or smaller. Best of Luck and I see Dan found some ! Nice hunt.
