Snow melted and ground wasnt too hard. Had to try my new gray ghosts out. Found some clad; hot wheels car; and 2 rings. One is silver!! HH

maybe you could tell us which coil you were using and what the TID was for the rings. The more information we can share with others, the more we all learn. Besides that, the ground is frozen here, snow is covering the ground and I've got cabin fever! :stretcher: HH Randy

The cheap ring had a vdi 0f 20 and the silver ring had a 44. Thought it was a qtr.I was using the 10.inch 7.5 khz coil.
Hope this helps.
Steve

As I said, those of us struggling with snow appreciate all the information we can get! The silver ring TID doesn't surprise me with a 44 reading. Must be Sterling. At a 20, the other ring could be "junk" or it could be an alloy of platinum or white gold???? It does look awfully big, (comparing it to the quarter). But, it might be worth investigating further. Are there any markings inside the band?

Regardless, glad you were out swinging the X-Terra. Thanks for the response. HH Randy

Nice haul, Steve. Which Grey Ghosts were you using and did you like them? Ron
