first Hello second My deleon acting up

This is my first post on this site was very happy to see so many tesoro users. I own a silver umax and a new deleon. OK here is my problem I took the deleon out the other day turned it on and i was going haywire. Numbers jumping all over the place with the coil in the air same thing in all metal mode. batteries checked good but came home and replaced anyway still the same thing. Any help would be appreciated and thank god i have a back up.

Make sure the cable connector is tight. Try wiggling the connector while detector is on. Had same problem, cable connector wasn't tight.

Ok i think I got the problem solved made two changes at once so not sure which one worked. Changed the batteries again second removed the plug and reinstalled it the nut may have come loose and the plug not in all the way seem to have to much travel when i check to see if it was tight. thanks for the response just some minor ignorance on my part. You would think I was a newbie
