First Half Dollar

Those are indeed hard to come by while detecting. I've dug nearly 2,000 coins, and have found only two of those.

it was on edge maybe 3 inches down should i try to clean it up i use a toothbrush to knock the loose dirt off but anything else i can do to it or just leave it alone i know it isn't worth much but it was exciting to me,i get so psyched up after finding stuff like that, that i get so distracted not thinking about the heat, my old butt is gonna fall over one day from heat stroke. I'm hoping one day to buy 1 a little more modern maybe make things easier for me G.L. and H.H.

You know, Bounty Hunter says in its Pioneer 505 video that coins are found oriented horizontal to the ground, but I have found several that were not. When coins are not horizontal, they will give a different tone depending upon the direction of the swing. So don't be mislead into believing what BH says about targets that don't give a consistent tone being junk.
