FIRST " HALF DIME"

Hunting the local football field, running stock coin program, manual sens 30. Got a 9-40 signal 7-8'' deep. Out pops a tiny little 1840 Half Dime, same hunt also got a 1951 Rosi 12-44, 5'' deep.

Thanks for all the feedback, this field has produced 3 large cents, countless silver and a 1860 indian. Before i started detecting 2 older guys had permission to detect this after football games to clear surface junk. I would have liked to see what they had pulled out of here over the years. Thanks Tom

Beautiful little find. Very nice job getting that coin! Congratulations on your first half dime. Thanks for the pictures.

School goes back to the 30's, some of the site was the towns early dump. On one corner of the school is a cemetery that dates back to the early to mid 1800's. There is also a small cottage across the street from the same period. "Cary Cottage" Historical marker. Manual 30 with stock coin program, a lot quieter than my F75 SE. Also a Cell tower on the side off the field. Cant wait for the upgrade for those F75's to see if it really works. But i love this E-trac. Having pinpointer problems, my propointer was losing depth, bought a whites trx but have to retune quite often. Need to find a X-1 sunray but the price on some of these:yikes: Tom

Fisher is suppose to be offering upgrades to match the new F75se2, they say you can run it in boost with sens on 99 and it runs quiet. Will see, not sure how much upgrades will be.

A FANTASTIC find ! :beers:
