Just got back from short trip with new Excal, got 2 tiny rings but they are gold!(9ct)
Can i call myself a pirate now?
Any ideas how to clean black gunk off?

Well ! You have nine more to go! lol j/k Yeah, Make your family proud......you are a "PIRATE" and don't let no one tell you other wise.....Nice goin!!

YOU PIRATE !!

Very Nice GOLD!!!

Nice old gold too,
try just a soft damp cloth with a little baking soda to make a paste and rub it out, most of the time that will do it.
If that won't work you might have to try some polishing compound on a cloth or even a polishing wheel on a dremel tool with polishing compound
on that,But 99 times out of 100 the baking soda rub is all I've ever needed

Great ring!!! Try soaking it overnight in Mr. Clean, then brush it with a soft tooth brush.

ya just want to wear an eye patch don't ya  now i only called my self a pirate when i found a gold ring big enough that my wife poked me in the eye so she could grab it when i wasn't looking :poke: & i really did need the eye patch  honestly i did .
great finds by the way & congrats on your first/second gold  & be careful cleaning the rings as i"v snapped a few wile cleaning.
