First Gold with the Infinium!

nugget

New member
Hi all, I have found my first gold ring scuba diving with the Infinium, it is only 9k with a carat CZ it only weighs 2.40 grams. I had about 30 to 40 signals but I could'nt dig most because of the bottom being hard compacted sand with mud under and it contains rocks too. I only had a homemade scoop, made out of PVC and it could'nt penetrate. I went and got myself a steel scoop today, I will be testing it out tonight at my local sand-park playground. During my dive I also got a huge men's stainless steel ring with an inscription "Dexter" it weighs 9.75 grams, and is a truly nice looking ring. I also scored a silver dolphin ring with a CZ, it weighs 2.25. So all in all it was a good dive I'm looking forward to getting wet again! I will try to load up photo's of these and other finds when I get some help to set Photo bucket up for me. Under the sea is the place to be! God bless, Nugget.

nugget, looks like you had a great dive outing!!! That area should be hunted hard as you pulled those rings from an impossible to dig situation with the plastic scoop. I bet with the new scoop you just purchased, you'll get a bunch more rings from the multiple signals you were unable to dig (sounds very exciting)!

Please keep us all posted on this one!!!

Thanks:thumbup:

Thanks for the encouragement and awesome advice, the forums are a wonderful idea. If anyone is heading over to Queensland then give me a call, I'll take you out to the Gold-fields and some exciting beaches to detect! God bless, Nugget.:)

congrat's on that gold find thats a first for both of us this week I know how good it is, now you will be hooked like me.

I,ve been hooked for 14yrs!!! I've found lots of gold rings with the bounty hunter tracker IV's. One worth $5,500, But I must say the first with the infinium especially underwater, was the pinnacle for me. I rate it up there with detecting my first nugget, because of the degree of difficulty with the scuba. By the way, CONGRATULATIONS. Nugget.
