First Gold with my GT yesterday

ujat

New member
Yesterday i had only 1 and half hour for detecting so i headed for the nearest beach, a place that i have hunted several times in the past months and yielded 5 euros in coins and a little gold charm; all with my "old" gtp 1350 and well away from the surf.
From 2 pm to 3.30 pm we had low tide, i started swinging my GT in a line between the low and high tide, after only 5 minutes i had a quite strong and smooth sound; after sifting the sand in the middle of the shells was this tiny gold medal.

Yes, its really tiny but was my first gold with the Sov GT and I'm very satisfied.

Good Hunting to everyone!!!

Good find Ujat ........ I just purchased a used Sov Gt With the Sunray S12 and should get it before next weekend ........ I will test it at Huntington Beach ca, with my DFX and see how things workout.......

i'm in the hobby for just 6 month by now but i think the GT its quite a detector!

Greetings from Italy

Real nice find. Gold has a nice smooth sound doesnt it?

Can you tell me what carat that would be, it sure has a nice color to it.

Congratulations!

Neil

Sounds almost like a music to me!
The medal is marked 750 which stands for 18 k gold and its weighting i think between 1 and 2 grams (i don't own a precision scale).
I was surprised by the strength of the signal in such a small object!

And... hey Gulf Hunter! satisfied until the next hunt. I'm hungering for it!!!

This is a very addictive hobby but also the funniest i ever done!

I thought that would be 18k or higher by the color. One of the reasons it hit so well is its round shape.

Well done, I hope you find alot more!

Neil

Great find. The GT is really a good detector. I have found gold at the beach and in parks with my GT. I love that ruff or gruff sound it makes when you find a gold item :)

Sincerely,

Fedder
