New member
I have been hunting playgrounds the last couple of weeks ....finding the usual clad and lots of cars...lots of cars....will post a pic of the entire fleet later....today I found my first gold ring with a couple of small diamonds and what appear to be two garnetts...my wife loves it and guess where it is now..lol....also found a junkie kind of ring with no markings and likely a cz stone...the cars are a dodge viper a 65 Chev a 69 camaro and a stretch limo...without rear wheels....the chunk of chain is junk..I have included pics of a five yen coin I found at the same playground I found the rings at...I have also found three game tokens and have included a pic of the yen game tokens and a dime for size comparison...man I love this hobby

Hi gwn,
Congratulations on your first gold and it's a beauty.
Bet your heart was poundin' when you got the first glimpse of that, I'm delighted for you.
(Hope I get one as nice as that sometime.)
The rest looks good as well, looks like you had a great time.

Congrats, that first gold is exciting. Nice finds, keep it up.

Cool, very cool. That is pretty neat when it happens. I found one similar a little while back which was actually on the surface mixed in with all the foil and pulltbs. I had moved a small bleacher aside and was hitting the area under it.
ANd that one os in the same place as yours!

Keep plugging away Ian. There's one out there somewhere with your name on it. My ring count is way down. I usually find about eight or ten a year but so far I'm way behind. So it's heartening to see others score a ring or two.

Bill

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the words of encouragement.
We do seem to be diddling away quite steadily, in 9 months we've paid one tector in clad, with 5 chunky silvers and 3 little gold rings.
Just haven't got that one with nice stones in it yet.
As you say it'll come sooner or later.

Finding your first gold ring is always going to be a special day. Looks like you've scored a couple of Chinese coins too.
Well Done.:clapping:
Mick Evans.

my head is still in the clouds...thanks for all the good comments..heading out the door shortly and who knows what this day will bring....forgot to mention I also found a 56D wheat yesterday as well..thats four this year...a lot I suspect here in Canada...happy hunting all
