[attachment 50140 100_0756.JPG]well, ive just been metal detecting since xmas when my lovely wife got me a bh tracker II. found a few things with it, thought i really enjoyed the hobby, and upgraded to an ace250. have gone hunting several times in jan, and feb, but the ground has been frozen about 2" down. we went out today found some clad, a 10k gold wedding band(well worn) and a 1946 canadian penny(here in central oregon). havent found any silver coins yet, but am trying. have enjoyed reading yalls posts for a month now, and now have something to post myself! thanks, Scott

That's a great find, if you weren't hook yet you will be now.

ive got a 4 mp picture, but i dont know how to make it 120K. its 720K. i tried to upload it, but it didnt work, so i did a 2mp. any help on better pics would be appreciated

As I understand it you can compress on any picture program. I have paint shop pro. Bring your picture up and click on jpg. The program will come up and tell you how many k's it is. If it is more then 120k, you then click on the number and it will either go up or down. Keep clicking till it is below 120k.
Maybe you just need more light, so your camera can focus better.
I hope this helps some. I will love to see more of your finds.

it read as a pull tab. i told my wife( and digger :)) sometimes rings look like pull tabs. now she is ready to dig all pull tabs!!! lol!!!(im lucky to have such an understanding wife/digger):bouncy:

Congrats on the Gold ring Scott. That's a special day in your detecting career (hobby). Yeah, the Ace is light years ahead of the Bounty Hunter. I had one of those for my first detector. Glad I have the Ace as one of my detectors now.
Keep up the good work.
Mick Evans.

When I have a great find, I take it to work and have it scanned, come out sharp every time;just a suggestion.
