Hello All,
This is the reason why I bought the CTX. Love my Etrac, but living in the Tampa Bay area you've got to have a water machine. Went to the beach yesterday while the wind was blowing out of the east making the low tide even lower. The gulf was smooth and beach was pretty much empty except for the occasional RNC delegate.
Got a low grunt, scooped it out and my first gold ring appeared! Turned out to be 14K.
Kinda liking this water hunting,

Good question,
I will have to air test it. I couldn't see the display through the churned up water. Once I lift the CTX up the waves change the numbers.

Very nice only hunting I have done so far with the CTX has been in the water. Hope to do some land hunting soon as it cools off a bit around here.

@ Jason...I think you are going to like it digging relics. I used it as well as my Etrac up in Williamsburg, Va. when I was there at the beginning of the month. The CTX seemed a bit smoother then the Etrac. Although I did find my share of stuff with both.
I will be in Miami on Wed. and San Juan on Thurs. Hoping to score again!
