First Gold ring 10k

Hi everyone,

I got my first ring yesterday on a lake beach. Third time out, first at that beach. Two week old Excal ii. Been enjoying reading every ones posts.

Hi every one,
Thanks for the comments. I knew by the sound I had something good! At first sight I thought is was a copper class ring, but when I rubbed it with my fingers I saw the 10k on it. Then I called my hunt partner (code words) "Hey are you hungry?" He said "Taco Bell?" and I said "yep" he came over and looked at it and said it was real. I weighed 10.4g but it does have a tiger eye stone. I plan on keeping it.

Funny you should talk about code words. The guys I hunt with have hand signals for various things. I told them if I find something good I'm just going to give them the finger. Great find once again.
