[attachment 74499 ring2001.jpg] I have heard of sweet 16 but this was sweet 15 14k I hope I'm finally learning to use the excalibur:clapping:

Yer in a bind, aren't ya? You sweatin' over that gold yet? Another piece is all I know of that'll make you feel better! What you have found is worn by many Hispanic folks and is a celebration of quincinetta. I can speak it a lot bettern I can spell it. Trust me, that's what you got there. I have a couple and Skully has a hand-full of them! LOL!

Nicely done. There's plenty more to come those excals are gold magnets!

Gulf Hunter, the word is 'quinceanera', literally 15th B'day, but generally a 'Debut', for an Hispanic young lady; a 'Big Deal' celebration, here in Texas, often worth a second Mortgage, to put on!
Nice piece, well worth the effort, if it took all day!
One of the 'fringe benefits', of this hobby!
At least one of my detectors 'lives' in the toolbox of the truck, and gets used in the strangest of places, sometimes, but it is there to be used.
Traveling, I take advantage of the more 'primitive' picnic areas, and such, as the dog(s) need to stop, every 3 hours, or so, and wave the coil, while they are doing their thing, often to good results; relatively 'remote' picnic areas have yielded more wedding rings, than pocket change; go figger!

:rofl:Thanks for the info! I think I got gold fever.I had to edit my post about three times late night entry after dinner and and a couple of Jim Beams, not my best effort.

It's a little sad knowing young ladies are losing these rings, but that sadness is quickly erased by remembering the price of gold is over $800 an ounce!!
