First gold for summer

It,s finally summer down here in the southern hemisphere

I headed down the beach with my Excal, and despite having had some cool weather and rain last week I picked up a bit over $7.00 in coins.
I was making my way along the dry sand when I got a nice low tone and expecting to see a pull tab, was very happy to see a nice 9 ct ring with a garnet.

Yes! Great to see some beach gold showing up from Down Under! nice count on the coins, enough for a Fosters or two?

WTG Raven69,
I found my first 2 gold rings within the last 2 weekends. One was a 10K ladies ring with the stone missing and one was a 10K man's ring. If I had known the ladies ring was gold, I would have sifted through the mud and sand for the stone, but it's lost forever now.

I found my 3rd 10K gold ring with a stone this Saturday, but not sure if the stone is real or not. I was supposed to go back to this area Sunday and today, but my Mama has been under the weather and I had to look after her. Tuesday morning I hope to get started at daylight and see what I find. This is the first gold I ever found since I started dirt fishing in Dec-2007 and it sure is pretty to pull a scoop up with gold in it. HH
