First gold chain for 2007.

I should have realized that The Bulgarian would have missed those ads growing up in the Eastern Bloc.
In response to your querie about my roots I am Canadian but have been living in Bermuda for a few years now and not missing the cold one bit. I've lived in a lot of different places though, a bit of a gypsy I guess.
You've been doing great lately with the new detector, good on you.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

PS - Did Mike and yourself grow up in Virginia Beach?

Hi BDA,

First thanks for the congrats on my recent finds. I need a better camera so I can post more goodies. I usually have to rely on friends cameras... But, yeah, I'm loving the Excal. Of course it helps that I'm getting out there more often and that I have such SUPERSTAR hunting buddies, like "The Bulgarian" to mentor me in the fine art of treasure hunting! :twodetecting: :super:

To answer your question about if my brother Mike (in Va Bch) and I grew up in Virginia Beach... we'll no....sort of... We actually spent our childhoods on Long Island, NY.

Wanna see? (My first attempt to scan photos...)

Here are Mike & I on the Long Island Sound in our grandfather's boat. Lots of happy memories there.

Wanna see a cute photo of Mike fishing?

Here I am. Apparently someone went to Bermuda (and all I got was that lousy sweat shirt!)

What I would give to be able to hunt the places we went as kids...The picture below was taken on Sexton Island, I believe. Our aunt had a beach house there.

When our parents divorced (I was 11, Mike was 13), my dad moved to Virginia Beach and Mike, our mom and I moved to Florida. Mike moved to Virginia Beach a couple years later to live with our dad, so we'd spend vacations and school breaks together tooling around Virginia. He ended up staying there and I stayed here.

But BDA - regarding your question: what makes you think Mike HAS actually "grown up?"

HH!
Stacey

Great photos Stacey! and a really interesting story. I couldn't help but notice that Mike is always focused on something in the photos and you are always smiling and happy, the formation of our personalities starts so young doesn't it.
Planes arrive here everyday from Miami (AA), so you can pick out your own lousy sweat shirt if you like (it's still off season so not terribly expensive yet). You might even get a kewl pirate T-shirt for your big brother while you are at it.
If you make it to this island in the middle of the gulf stream I will gladly show you some of my favorite hunting grounds. Same offer to you Mike.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Oh yeah! Always nice to get some 18K! Nice chain.

I don't WANNA grow up, I'm a Toys-R-Us kid! Except my toys just COST more now. :)

Hey, did you do some Photo-Shopping on that pic of me or was my left nipple really that RED and that BIG??? WTF, over?
