First gold chain at the beach!!!

I braved the 40mph winds on the New Jersey beaches the other day but it was worth it. Found some nice stuff including a surface find gold chain and charm. Thankfully the winds blew the top layer of sand away from the gold because for some reason my explorer se pro missed it. I went over the gold several times and I only got a very small target sound but the coil was just about resting on it. I've got a gold ring before that was deep and had no problems but this blows my mind that the detector missed the chain/charm. I also got a 10k small white ring with a heart diamond and some type of copper engraving the size of a nickel that is heavy for its size. If anyone can id this item it would be appreciated.

Gold is good........

Back when we were kids, we would hustle on down to the beach after or during a big wind just to find the coins that got exposed...I still hunt that way even with the detector, head up and looking!

The writing on your small piece looks to be in reverse, almost like it is a piece of some sort of broken stamp.?
Nice finds BTW.

Very nice!! What part of jersey?

Nice finds! Picking up a signal on a chain is difficult no matter what detector you use. That's why they're still there.

Ive found some of those reverse inscribed on neckless. Put it up to a mirror you might figure it out. I think mine were pryers. You are a luck man that cross was on there.... I find a lot of crosses and neckless pieces..... but the chains are almost never there or undetectable.
