I received my new AT Pro a couple of days ago and I love the look of the unit, especially the coil. I have done lots of air tests and I must say I'm impressed. Today was the first chance I had to test it in the field and I had a hour to spare so I ventured over the road to a vacant block that I cleaned out with various other detectors over the years. I used std. mode, coins, iron discrim.35, sensitivity 2 bars down from max. The unit ran very quiet, no chatter or falsing, first target was a brass base of a shotgun shell, 4" deep, second was a copper washer 1" in diameter, around 3" deep and the find of the day was a 1914 Halfpenny over 6" deep:clapping: also found some flat pieces of aluminium, a brass lock and some small bits of brass plate. So far I'm pleased with the unit, I think I have made the right choice:garrett: Hope to hit the beach in the next couple of days and give it a good workout.

Cheers,

You greet cok
from January 2011 that use ATPRO in the beach sea, found more than 100 European lost summer passed, a ring gold some old copper league and 2 silver, are returned Turin and I have found some smaller coins of%" (mm.13) to 9/10" of depth, use ATPRO in way for / coin and the tone of the metal it is better because in std the sound has effect bell, I don't like it
Other thing, in terrestrial mineralized with ground press fastener and lifting / lowering spool 5 / 6 times movement is adjusted with terrestrial and in sea with the salt
With ground dampness, put coin by 13 mms.(%" half thumb) good sound, covered with damp earth, sound better, therefore test in air and in the ground doesn't change signal
Now I/you/they are satisfied for bought atpro, in May I will try with special basket in sea in steel inox if possible to find ring lost gold in summer 2010
I attach coin it tries in terrestrial hole enough mineralized
You still greet
