First Finds

I traded for a Pioneer 202 several weeks ago and Thanksgiving day was my first day with it.
I installed new batteries and headed for several schools and a park in my area.
I found several dollars in coins and the necklace I have attached. This necklace is 14k and made
in Croatia. It took a magnifying glass to read the markings. All and all, I'm pleased with my first
finds.

Sweeeeet!!!:clapping: That necklace is a very nice find, and for the first time . WOW:thumbup: You are hooked. Makes you want to go out and find more...... (and it IS there to find).:detecting:
Good Job,,,, Good Luck

You are well on your way. The necklace looks to be intact. How do you lose a necklace that isn't broken? You are doing well, I have only found 3 necklaces in 6 years!!!!!

I have also found only a few gold ones over the years and not as nice as the one here. But have found alot of heavy junk ones and bracelets. It is for sure a nice find.
Rereading your post, I'm not sure if you are a beginner or if this is the first good find with this detector. Nice find either way though.
Dave: I think it is broke,, the clasp is still hooked, the link on the back side of clasp is where it came apart.

Very nice find indeed!! My sister and I found our very first gold item yesterday!! I use a BH Lone Star and she uses a Discovery 1100.

gygull:

Which BH machine located the ring first?

Was it buried or sitting on the surface?

If buried, how deep was it and what signal did the machines produce?

Thanks,

Mark

The Discovery located it first. It beeped in as Mid Range & on on my Lone Star it beeped in as Nickel or Scrap which is in the Gold Range. It was around 4'' deep.
