First Finds(Three of them)

We had a cool front to come through this weekend and boy was it a nice change. after breaking for lunch from the shop, i decided to grab up the detector and hunt around in the yard for a bit. after only a few minutes i unearth my first little toy gun followed by a Chucky Cheese token(no pic yet) from around 1996 of which i could not make out at first and presumed it to be some weird foreign coin. it was the wife that recognised the "Chucky" logo after removing it from the cleaning solution. anyhow, after having my detecting fix for he moment. i decided it was best i get back to work and started making my way to put the detector up. remembering one of the rules of detecting, (always detect while walking back to your car) i applied it to walking back to the house and I'm glad i did because this is when i uncovered a skeleton key.

That Key is one of the things that I wish that I could find. I keep looking. congratulations.

If I employed "the first rule of detecting," I'd never get back to the car.

Nice key!

Cool finds Spider-F5! I love finding old toys and old keys! That's a good idea to keep swinging the coil on your way back to the truck/car. One time, doing just that, I dug an 1854 Liberty Seated quarter. You never know! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

 Yea im sure.

Seriously though, i broke mine the same exact way and after it was said and done, i came to the conclusion that where i found the gun was once the sand pile for the masons to lay the bricks during the construction of my house...... way back in 1962. how neat to think some little boy had to of been playing there and lost his gun? and maybe his dad was one of the builders?
