first finds for a newbie

[attachment 64998 Picture003.jpg]well finally got out to try my new ace 250 real happy with the finds got some pull tabs,some kind of metal and the best ,well the best for me anyway a copper coin from barbados 5 cents. well thats all for know.

Thats the usual, Bob. The rings and super valubale coins are the exceptions. Have patience and faith. THe mangled metal bits are called, "canslaw."
 
Good start - I been at it about 26 years or so and your finds beat my last hunt of 1 penny (and it wasn't a wheat)and a couple tabs.
For me it's just like fishing - some days good and some days nothing.
As you gain experience your overall finds get better.
If you get into a trashy area you may want to consider the 4.5 sniper coil for your ACE 250. It make working the trashy more manageable.

Hey Bob,
It's really nice to hear a newbie enjoying his first finds. Remember we all started there and time and practice x's many will bring the goodies eventually.
Well done on gettin' out for your first hunt.
We wish you many many more hunts.
 
thanks guys still finding bottle tops, pultabs,and foil but it takes time to learn,still have fun going out.this weekend im going to a old park here in columbia sc. well thats all for now.
