Met up with Park Pirate this morning and was able to chisel one keeper from the frozen tundra. Boy did it feel good to finally get back at it after almost four months dealing with this endless Winter. Only dug this 1925 Buffalo nickel along with a clad quarter and a Jefferson nickel during the one hour hunt. Conditions can only get better !!! Still a lot of frost in the ground and hopefully things will be totally thawed in the next week.

Hi Ed,

Looks like you broke the ice for the year (pun intended). Most of the Buffalos I find are dateless.

We're back to winter in this part of the woods so I looks my detecting adventures are back on hold for a couple of days.

Nickel man strikes again! Good start Ed- hopefully your ground is back to normal real soon! Hang in there (like we haven't had to hang in there long enough already!)

Man ground is still frozen, went out Sunday between the rain trying to find a place to dig I left but I did get a wheat cent. Nice buff Ed clear date too...
