First find, nothing special, but fun

No clue what this is, maybe a buckle or hinge of some sort, but my new Xmas gift, Pioneer 505, found it first time out sweeping the back yard, pretty heavy for the size, and was about 6 inches deep, right about where it said it was and how deep it was. Don't care if it is worth anything, to me its my first find, and i am assuming its old , due to depth, and can only imagine the pivotal part this played in history :)

There ya go! Hope you can ID the piece, that adds a lot of enjoyment to the hobby. Betcha can't wait for your first coin!

Warning. This Hobby is Addicting. When that first old (Silver) coin comes out of the dirt you will be bitten by the bug that keeps you out there swinging a coil. Welcome to the Hobby.

I was bitten long ago and never got a chance to get one, the wife got me one for Xmas, she was tired of me watching diggers, and curse of oak island and not being able to hunt

Congratulations on your first find!!!
I've been detecting since the end of March and they are right...it is addicting!
