First field hunt this fall

First fall field hunt today. Saw a corn field cut that I hunted 3 yrs ago thought I'd give it a shot, with my compadre, set it on foil and dug everything above that. First target was the CW button. And shortly after got a quarter signal looked down and u see what I saw! A SLQ sticking out of the dirt! Great first field hunt.

Wow, nice work Goes4ever that's a great hunt. Do you have any idea what the rectangular brass or copper piece with the slots is? I find those things everywhere in an old site I hunt. I have yet to find a silver quarter yet, still waiting for the day.

It is part of a harmonica reed. I find them on most old sites that I hunt. Must have been a lot of harmonica players back then.

You had a fantastic day finding an array of different finds. You hit the jackpot and did it with a little ole Compadre.
