Met up with Brad and Dave at one of B-Rad's field sites he came up with for us on Tuesday.

It was a lot of fun and we all had some sweet digs.

With temp hitting 56 degrees on this day...10th of January...we couldn't have asked for a better day.

Usually I like to be more detailed...but I am busy with personal training appointments today...so I have to be short and to the point.

Dave found a nice 1854 Seated Quarter and a 1937 British Florin...whatever the heck that is:)...as well as a button and a whatzit.

I ended up with a seated dime... 1880? something. Cant make out anything after the second 8.:bouncy:

I also ended up with a button...3 injun's...and 2 SWEET old pieces of jewelry.

I want this post to focus on Dave and Brad's finds so I will only show one pic of my jewelry find.

Not sure what it is...but it hit like an indian head and was at least 9" deep. It has some diamond like stones in it and is 12K gold filled.

I then went back over the hole again and got a nickel hit this time...and out came the second small round piece which is also 12K gold filled.

Still not sure why it sounded like a nickel...but I'm glad it was in there.

I scanned a large area around the plug but was unable to locate any other pieces.

Brad also had a great day finding some nice coins...with an 1847 Halfpence as the icing on the cake:beers:

He and Dave are both becoming very talented hunters with their SE's and are a blast to hunt with.

After I got home...Herky decided to sit "indian style" on the stairs as I got ready for work.:clapping:

You all had some good discoveries. Bryce it would be cool to know what piece of jewelry those two formed if you could locate the rest.

Wow always nice when everybody gets some goods.
Seated coins....gold...and a half pence. Nice!
SEF coil or what did you use?

I have not seen a coin like that before. Is it a British coin?
Nice hunting and fun for all. Keep looking for more pieces to that jewelry item. Has to be more there since you found 2 parts.

It was fun to find some old stuff:thumbup:

Yes it is British. It says Victoria Dei Grati on the face side and Britannar Reg Fid Def on the side with the shield. They call it a Half Pence. It would be nice to know the story on how that coin ended up in that field...
