Well, I got my detector yesterday but today was the first time I got to take it out. I was with my 13month old too so I didn't exactly have a methodical approach to searching while chasing after my little girl
I got about 3 hours in and am still learning how big to dig holes and what the different sounds turn up. I found the heart pendant in my back yard about 4" deep and I think it's sterling silver. The coins I found at a nearby park. I thought I would find some quarters there or something but just found the dime about 4" deep too. It was a place for little kids mostly though so maybe allowances are tight for the little buggers .
Between chasing after and pulling the little one off the swings and searching and digging, I am a tired dog tonight.
After reading a ton of reviews on the 505, I came to the conclusion that you can find a lot of good things if you look in the right places, and my goal is to prove this detector can pay for itself many times over!
