First Few Hours With Bounty Hunter 505

Well, I got my detector yesterday but today was the first time I got to take it out. I was with my 13month old too so I didn't exactly have a methodical approach to searching while chasing after my little girl:twodetecting:

I got about 3 hours in and am still learning how big to dig holes and what the different sounds turn up. I found the heart pendant in my back yard about 4" deep and I think it's sterling silver. The coins I found at a nearby park. I thought I would find some quarters there or something but just found the dime about 4" deep too. It was a place for little kids mostly though so maybe allowances are tight for the little buggers :bouncy:.

Between chasing after and pulling the little one off the swings and searching and digging, I am a tired dog tonight.
After reading a ton of reviews on the 505, I came to the conclusion that you can find a lot of good things if you look in the right places, and my goal is to prove this detector can pay for itself many times over!

Suggest hunting alone as your distracted and will miss out. Headphones help a lot.

Good luck and raise the little one so that the hobby is of intrest...
