[/img] My first time out to the fairgrounds this year using the 6 inch coil at 28 manual ran as smooth as silk .Found the 1901 Indian at 9 inches deep very good signal this is got to be the best Indian I have ever dug it looks like it still has mint luster on it . Found a gold eagle trying to find out if it's gold or not can't read the writing on the clasp have to find my mag to see . I found the 1895 Indian 5 feet from the 01 and it was 8 inches deep good signal too the barby was 6 inches had some crap with it but hit pretty good one way . One penny I don't know what it is it's like the grass is glued on it and won't come off I will try cleaning it tonight . the v nickel was on edge at 5 inches deep gave a double 12.12 one way and a 12.01 the other I though it was a pull-tab because pull-tab tails read different both ways unless there folded then they read 12.13 most of the time but usually they read 12.13 and then 12.11 the other way . There's plenty of coins left here but just about all mast one way or the other , I have been hunting here for 12 years now and still pulling coins out I really would like to know what's still hiding here but the only way is to dig it all but you might as well get the shifter out because it's full of trash. sube

Super super coin Sube that place has been very good to you

Well the eagle 10kt first gold of the year still working on the penny .Yes Todd this place has been great to bad all Indians don't come out like this .But they have never fertilize the grass here it patchy and sparse looks like old dirt . Had to work for these went back over the area I had hit with the stock coil when I got my detector . All I can say is there has to be a bunch of coins left here but you will never hear them because of all the masking . sube

You killed it Sube - glad to see the old fairground is still giving it up!

That is one heck of a hunting site!!!! Keep at it until it gives you everything. :detecting:

Man, get out the sifter! If there was any place worth doing that, this is it!

Outstanding!! I love the Indians - one of my favorite coins. Nice day of huntin...

Good job Sube. Those indians look very good. How did you clean it?

Hydrogen peroxide heat in micro wave 30 seconds till boiling put coin in let fizz tell gets cold . Repeat till clean some don't clean if pitted but if not they come out pretty nice no rubbing involved although copper coins well darken some . Does not remove patina . sube
