First ever early pocket spill find

Took the boat out today to an area of the lake that had a very old town, only thing left is a church built in 1865. There was no room left around the curch to metal detect as it was completely surrounded by a cemetary so me and my buddy decided to hit the woods behind the cemetary about 100 yards from the church. Was swinging along when i got a signal that seemed to cover about a 2 ft square at 4" so i dug right in the center of the sound first coin to pop out was a 1910 wheat, next was a 1913 wheat then 1920 wheat then 1917 wheat then 1899 indian head and the last signal was a 10c brass coin that says good for 10c in mill stuff on one side the other side says rolling mills preston missouri which preston is about 15 miles from where i found the cache. i will post pics when i get the coins cleaned and a picture of the wooded area. Was very exciting to say the least and i think we have found a spot that might produce good finds for years to come.

Nice !! You are definately on to something.

The thing that makes it nice is would take 45 min for me to drive there by car but in the boat i can be there in 5 minutes and that includes launching the boat. and its so far off the beaten path one way in and one way out kinda place close to nowhere.

Yeah, looks like U R on to some good hunting prospects. I would not advertize the location to much, but its hard not to When U can find some virgin ground. Got your boat, Got your detector, Git it done:beers: Good luck on some more finds . I love a post from a Hillbilly in a boat:rofl:
