First dive with Excal

I've had my Excal for a couple of months now and love using it on the beach and wading. So yesterday I decided to take it to the next level and take it for a dive.

I have to say I haven't had as much fun in a long time! working near an old jetty in about 3.5 metres of water there were targets every where. Most were modern with only one old penny being found.
I spent an hour on the bottom and only covered and area about the size of a large dinning table. I found using my had to fan the sand away worked well.

Very much looking forward to getting back down there.

HH.

Raven, wish I could dive.I envy the ones who can.Interesting finds. LOL Booom Baby!! I guess we all can't find a 1000 lb cannon with our Excal on our first dive.Though I do like to watch Diggers. Thanks Ron

That must be nice. I remember reading about a diver who found a drop off at the outter edge of a swimming area. It dropped straight off so it was much too deep for people waiding to detect. He found a slew of rings and silver coins down there.

WOW! I can only imagine what its like to dive and detect. Cool post. Let us know how you do in the future. HH underwater....Matt
