First dive of the year in Michigan

Well Fox 2 News Detroit reporter Jason Carr came to my office today to do a story and spent 3 hours here for interviews and pictures. I can't believe they do all that for a two and a half minute news segment on the TV. Anyway. After they took pictures of my rings and computers we decided to go to my local swimming hole and get some video of me in the water. I haven't been in the water yet this year and was a bit nervous. I HATE cold water!! After I put on my 5mil superstretch suit, hood and booties I was mostly comfortable. Had another interview by the water with 16 of my class rings in the sand by the edge. While they were shooting I found a penny. They took a lot of video.

Anyway after they left I decided to play in the water some more before I went back to work. I got 14 pennies, 3 dimes 2 quarters and a 10K mens white gold wedding band. Not bad for my first real hunt this year.

I don't know when it will air. They want to do another segment of me returning a 1988 class ring to a lady that lost it 8 years ago off my favorite island in Lake St. Clair. I don't know when that will happen. It was a fun day at least.

I don't have a thermometer. How about COLD? Really not as bad as I thought they would be. I was wading last week and I didn't think I would go in for a while still. BUT can't hold up the news? Anyway, I am going to guess in the low to mid 40's. There was still ice on the lake last week.
