Even after a downpour here a few days ago the ground in this yard was still dead bone dry.
I didn't want to dig there yet but couldn't resist takin the IDX fer a 'walk' :detecting:
Targets were everywhere !!!!!!
I only dug these few because they were in spots that were allready bare ground or dead from the Fidos' 'waterins'
( in all honesty, i believe that the owner could care less 'bout a few dead spots in his grass.Gotta git to know him a better tho to be sure )
We haven't id'd the key yet.The hole is about a 1/4 inch which makes it too big for any application we can think of.
The round object is made of pewter and best i can figger so far after checkin my Revolutionary era encyclopedia, could be a canteen top (?)

It turns out that the history of this place extends to the entire area. There are over a dozen farms in this area,
all borderin each other,
that were ALL land grants given by General George Washington.
He gave these parcels to his Officers that served under him in the Continental Army.
I took pics of the land maps with all the original names and ranks and such on them but thot mmmaybe i best not post that info on here.
Seems that with all the 'tectorists there are in my area, all folks that wanna be 'secret' and swing all the spots themselves,
not a one o' them has figgered this area out. :smoke: he he.
Shame none o' you folks live closer.
Allll this historical acreage and only me and my babay to swing it. :sadwalk:

Oh yeah, i also dug a spent .06 and a live .351 S.L.
