First dig of the day!

Went down to the same beach that I found the first ring at. Turn my NOX 800 on, Beach 2 , sensitivity 14, disc 3. I figured I’d hunt the small dry beach since I was the only one there. First hit was a clean 10. Got it on the third scoop. I don’t know if it was deep or if I just missed it. I hunted for four more hours and didn’t find squat. There’s lots of hot rocks that are giving off false scratchy signals that bounce all around. I’ve learned to ignore them, but it’s hard sometimes when it’s quit for so long. Today’s ring is 14k and it’s one of those thin puffed out rings that tries to look more substantial than it really is. I’m not complaining. HH

I can relate. My wife keeps harping about me finding some jewelry for her, but for me, it’s the thrill of just finding ANYTHING of value. My biggest thrill is seein 73-74, which is either a quarter or the ubiquitous pop top. I dig every one!
