Hey all, I'm new here and have just got myself a pre owned compadre. Will be going to the local beach to start with. Is there anything I should know before I start? I'm in the UK by the way.

Cheers

stick to the dry sand or what ever the beach is made of and pretty much set you disc as low as you can handle and start digging, the one knob wonder doesn't leave much to the imagination set and forget and dig.

Had a little go in my garden but its just full of foil and iron. Should have a better time getting used to it at the beach. Lots of dry sand to have a go at.

Hi,im in the uk too.As the weather starts to get better and attracts more people to the beach, your chances of finding something will go up dramatically.
Dont be put off if you dont find much at the moment.....most of our beaches are hit quite hard by detectorists and are at their least productive at the moment.

Looking forward to the better weather. I've also just got a laser power max ii for what I think was a good price £70 so got 2 to play with now. Is this a good machine?
