The Garrett Ace 250 would be the one but don't think Garrett sells on the payment plan. You might find a Garrett dealer and try to work out a deal or save your money up.

if you're strapped for cash, i'd go with a used model or a demo model. my first detector was a garrett GTAx550. it was a demo model and i got it for $250. the 550 is a wonderful machine to start out with. most detectorists take good care of their machines and you can get a used one at a great price. i doubt if any place will arrange a payment plan, but you never know!

Have to agree many used GTA's can be had for several hundred dollars and are real good machines. Some smaller shops may arange a payment plan, but would keep the unit until fully payed for.Just too big a risk as if he let you use it, could damage it or indeed fail to pay off the balance...In all reallity a payment plan just is not going to happen..Good luck in your choice and saving to purchase a good used one due to your financial situation.

If you buy with a credit card, you can pay it out. BUT, credit cards are dangerous!! My opinion. Jerry

Hello David,
I started out with a used Garrett because I couldn't afford a new one. Then as I learned more about the hobby I put a GTI 2500 on Lay-A-Way. It was tough wating to get it payed out of Lay-A-Way but it was worth the wait. I think you should try and start out with at Ace 250 suggested retail is about $249.00 and you could put it on lay-a-way and have it paid out in no time. Most dealers have a lay-a-way plan. I do but I am in Texas. So check with a dealer close to you. If you can't find a dealer close to you I am sure some of the the people one this forum would be happy to help you locate someone in your area.
Best of luck! Michele from The Treasure Finders.

Garrett Ace 250 for around $199 new less for a used one.
I think eBay also ofers some form of fininancing but you need to check that out for yourself.
Dont let the low price of the Ace 250 fool ya.
It can hunt with the big boys.

Yeah there are several new ones on Ebay at this moment.
