Hi all , just thought i would pick your brains about getting a detector for my wife , something that you dont have to be a rocket scientist to use , she will be on dry sand and pasture mostly and when she is doing the dry sand i will be on the wet stuff with my goldquest , was thinking of cs3mx, so if anyone has any suggestions for a good but simple first time detector for her i would be greatful for the imput , as the more im reading up on them the more choice im seeing and the more confusing its getting!

Mikey, the cs3mx is a fantastic little detector......extremely quick responding with fairly good depth.I own one of these machines and it hits very hard on small silver. It is very noisy on wet sand but if you stay on dry sand it gives good performance. If you buy the cs3mxi you will also be able to change coils which you cannot do on the 3mx due to the fact that its coil is hard wired into the control box.It is as simple to use as you can get with just a sensitivity and discrim knob to worry about. There is even a simple mod you can do to make the machine run a little hotter if conditions allow.Cracking little machine.Tesoro also make some simple to use machines that are very good performers and are probably the lightest machines available......again,cracking machines.

My wife, at 5' tall, loves her White's M6. Only two knobs and one switch with easy to ready LCD display.
