First day with the ATP at the river

This was the second time out with my new AT Pro and I had a blast! My son and I went to a popular river beach on this wet dreary day. I ran in the Pro Zero mode, with 30 set for iron discrimination and sensitivity backed off 2 bars. Ground balance was 91 and I mostly ran with the iron audio on. I found pinpointing with the 8.5x11 DD as easy as demo'ed on the Garrett web site, thank you very much. The great thing about having my son along was that he loved to dig up the targets. This allowed me to watch and learn what the tones where telling me as he dug up each target. I was learning by rote... good stuff. I ended the day telling my son what he was going to dig! I wanted to show him how the TID worked so I asked him to toss down a quarter. With the quarter in the sand I scanned it and said, "that's an 87". He said,"wow, you can even tell the date?!"

We collected 6 memorial pennies, 3 nickels, and 4 Rosey dimes and a silver Northwest Indian eagle with salmon design pendant, marked 91.
