First Day with new XS2 is a Success!

I got my new XS2 on Friday and went out with it on Saturday. I went to a new location, so I can't say if it was the location or the machine, but I did have an excellent day. It took about an hour to get used to it, but after that I started rolling. My first find was an 1899 Barber half dollar... my first ever half and my first ever Barber as well. I also found an 1899 "V" nickel, another first, as the Buffalo was my oldest nickel to date. In addition, I found a 64 Washington quarter and 5 wheatback pennies, the oldest dating 1919. How could you not love the explorer after a day like that! I'm sold for certain. I can only wait until the learning curve is past me. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

What were you using for settings on the Explorer II? Good Job....and HH

I was using the smart find factory settings. Just turned it on and went after it.

Other than changing the sensitivity to match your condion you have it set up right. After you get somewhat over the learning curve and know what all these setting will do you may want to do some changing.
Good luck
Rick
