First day out with the Mxt

Hello everyone Im new to this section of the forum and finally got a chance today to hunt with a used but clean mxt that i picked up. After tryin manny detectors such as the Ace 250 /Minelab quattro/Minelab Xterra. The Mxt is a pretty decent machine. Its pinpointing is one of the best. Its as good as the Minelab Xterra in pinpointing. I love the vdi display. Its shows the depth wich is great and the id and numeric. Though the id jumps around a bit so do other brands. Its not as noisy as some have made it out to be. Its also a bit top heavy but still a fun machine to use. Today i ran it in coin and jewlry mode with the factory presets set and found 4 quarters one dime a bunch of pennys and plenty of pull tabs and a few strange iron objects. It seems to like pennys and quarters quiet a bit as well as pull tabs. It was a ball park that i had hit before so i wasnt expecting to find much. All and all i like the mxt and find it to be a fun and interesting detector. Eventtually i post some finds once i find something interesting with it. Happy hunting to all

Hi Trackerman, You're going to love that MXT more and more the longer you use it. It's one heck of a nice machine and for me, it's not going to leave my sight. I've never heard of any complaints when one gets to know their machine. I wish you luck in your findings and keep us posted. We love to hear about finds and outings. Thanks for posting and welcome to the world of the MXT, Nancy

Congrats on your first MXT hunt it only gets better as you learn the machine . Sounds like you had a very nice bunch of finds ,enjoy your new machine you will love it .

Thanks everyone it is a fun machine and i know it will take some time to learn it but thats ok. I do like the vdi display how it shows numbers and the letters and depth. Its a very complete detector. I used a few detectors in my time and the only one i like as much is the Ace 250.

I've used the Ace 250 also. We bought my mother one when they first came out. Believe me, you're gonna love the MXT when you get to know it better. HH, Nancy
