Don't know if I should open a tackle shop or a jewelry store.. 3 clad dimes, 2 pennies (memorial) and a 10K class ring from Texas A&M

Sweet! Gold the first time out!

Great job on your first day out. I assume you are beach hunting. My first siganl and dig in the field with my CTX was a silver Rossie, but a big gold ring tops that, for sure.

keep on diggin'

Wow...I'm assuming the ring is 2010? That's practically brand new! It'd be interesting to see if you could find who lost it...poor guy.

I've got an email into who I think it might be, but the name is about as common as bob smith. I'm contacting A&M to see if they can send him my email.

well that was odd, just got a canned message back from A&M saying:

If you have a change in contact information, please keep your profile updated at www.aggienetwork.com as we often use our database as a resource to reunite found rings with their owners. <end quote

I told them it was a found ring...

:clapping: Good results for the first time out. Can not wait to see your posts as you get more familiar with the CTX3030. I just got my CTX3030 today, and I am dying to use it. Tomorrow I will throw some clad in my yard (with 1-2 inches of snow cover) and try it out. :detecting:

Your story is inspiring while I await delivery on my CTX soon I hope..Was thinking it would be dekivered yesterday..
congrats on the ring..

Neslot, we recently returned a '63 Central Ct State College ring. Found the owner via the Alumni Facebook page and an email to the Alumni Association. Took a total of 3 days and we talked tot he fellow in Florida. 76 yrs old and happy to get his ring back. Also dug a '48 UT ring and found the widow in Stephenville. There is also a 2010 Aggide Facebook site https://www.facebook.com/pages/Texas-AM-Class-of-2010/123432647725696

Just got a call from the owner of the ring, he's coming down to pick it up this week-end!! Great news, happy guy. :clapping:

Thanks for all the suggestions and help in finding the owner!
