.The pennies were badly corroded as was the brass, but the nickles were in great shape. Except for the 1951 penny which was 2" down, the rest of my finds were 4 to 6" deep. The area was an old swimming spot with mostly pine trees and sandy soil. ...Jim in eastern Ma.
