1787 conn copper about 12 in down and the other thing is a snake bitting itself .... the f5 rrocks .... i had the thresh at +5 and and the gain at 60 and disc wide open .........

I've seen those detector settings before
I think you are off to a terrific start with a terrific metal detector.
What tone mode were you hunting in? The 12 inch copper makes me think you were in 1 or 2 tone mode.

sorry i had it in the forth tone .......and that baby was under a log when i got the signal ....i had to get on my knees and scoop the last 2 hand fulls or dirt to get it out ,,,,, its funny in the sand soil we hunt in there was no bars on the soil condition registered .... now i just want to go deeper ........i got alot of spots from the 1700s . and i know the stuff is deep ...............help me mike

Created by the people who made X-Files, I think the snake symbol turned out to be the secret icon of some super-secret power group.
The design seems to have a long and ancient history, maybe all the way back to Plato.
