First day out with Explorer 2

Well it took me about a half hour not to hit a tree with it. Then I finally kind of figured out what it was telling me. I was learning the sounds and what they mean. I also switched over to digital and watched the numbers some. Well I finally found a penny, a wheetie. I only found wheats today, 13 of them, 2 mercury dimes , and 2 medalions with rifles crossed on them. I did find some junk, light bulb bases, large lids pull tab or 2. This used to be a old fair grounds I was told, I found nothing newer than 1946. I did get some strange warbling sounds, I dug some, the main trouble I had today was that I took the same digger that I carried for my Whites, some targets were just to far to dig up!! Its going to take me some time to get used to this new detector but I have become to like this thing. I will be back there soon.

Nice finds for the first time out with an Explorer. I got one last summer and
it took me about five times out before I started to understand it. I'm still learning
each time I use it.
