First day out with 4" Gold Nugget coil and Cen-Tech pinpointer

Finally got to try out my new 4" coil and Cen-Tech pinpointer in the back yard. My yard seems to have a lot of burried trash. I was having a tough time isolating targets with my 8" coil. Mostly dug nails and a few other pieces of junk. I was just testing out the new coil and pinpointer. I did have one interesting find, a knife with a 12' long slender blade. It has the look of a small sword though I doubt that's what is is. There is no handle and its rusty as hell but still an interesting find in the back yard.
I am very pleased with how quickly I was finding my targets in such a trashy area with the small coil. The Cen-tech may be cheap, but it sure made the final search much quicker.

For the money the cen-tech pinpointer is hard to beat. I know there are better ones out there but if you are on a thin budget it can do the job. I realize you just started using the 4" coil but in your opinion how does it compare to the stock coil as far as depth, etc......?

I read sowhere there is a way to adjust the Cen-Tech that will add about another inch to the depth. Makes it more impressive for a cheapie.

i have a cen tech and i modified the sensitivity by taking off the back cover and as you look at the inside you will see a blue rectangle plastic chip with a brass screw in it , straight edge screw driver the kind you use for glasses will work turn the plastic knob clockwise to here it squeel then turn the brass screw clockwise to adjust sensitivity
