I started my day by testing the Vision with coins, old pewter spoon a canon ball, and Canadian coins. I turned it on put in relic right off the bat I touched the coil It hummed. pulled my hand it want away touched it agen it hummed. I put my hand it the harness grabed the Handel twisted left and right it hummed. Then I picked it up and shook the hole thing and it hummed. I put it down and started to to test most coins went beep beep. I had one coin that had a long beep one way and a long beep on the 2nd pass. Also coil won't not pick up a Canadian on edge. It would not pick up my canon ball it reads - 17. I had to reset the bar down to -20. So off I went to the woods. I fired it up on relic, started to swing I got this drifting hum in and out. O I forgot to ground Balance. Things got better but I still would get this drifting hum in and out. I did noteiss when a red bar would show up I would here that hum. why am I herring that it is block out. I found when I pinpointed the volume has very loud. I had one strange thing happen. I was sweeping and all at once I got this loud sharp tone it the wireless headphone. At the same time the speaker sounded of a loud tone then back to the headphones. This all happened fast it was just like the headphone had turned on but thy were on for 1 1/2 hr. and the speaker was off.? As for my finds I did well. I found a horse shoe a old buckle a number of old nails and one old pewter button all in the same hole. I had been at this before with my DFX and did not find a thing. I got a good beep 86 +. The first thing out of the hole was the horse shoe. 4" under that was the old buckle and next to that was the pewter button 56 +. Also in the hole was three small nails So I would have to say this just blew that test with the dime and nail right of the water. That 2D coil is great. Here's all my finds for to day.

Keep notes on the headphone and speaker on at the same time! I too have an issue That I am trying to isolate. Got to make sure my cell phone is not the cause.

Have Fun

Hi, just wondering about the speaker sounding off while you were using wireless phones.

Would inserting a 1/4" to 1/8" adaptor in the contact for headphones help ?

I have that same problem with my headphones as well. I have noticed the battery voltage will vary on the headphones and go to zero sometimes with new battery's in and no cell phone or power lines around. I have tried different channels and different power settings. It seems like mine change from stereo to mono back and forth also. Would be very interested in knowing a fix for this!

Yes mine change from stereo to mono back and forth also. What is up with this. I will start a new link on this.
