First CZ3D outing...

in my front yard, got a 1945 wheatie, a clad dime,5 regular pennies, some aluminum and a couple deep rusty nails. With a sensitivity of 4 or so the wheatie at 6 inches hit hard.Got lots of signal I didnt dig due to non repeatability at different angles but sometimes those can be good targets.Wiped out from digging 24 foot of water line yesterday.Didnt detect much of the dirt I dug out.Only detected about 30-40 minutes, couldnt keep the sweat from running in my eyes.Gonna take abit getting used to a cz but its fun to be swinging one again:))

Those deep rusty nails can be a problem, but visit Mikes CZ page and it should help..Used a CZ since 92 and rarely dig a rusty nail as there are ways to avoid them...As far as those signals that don't repeat from at least 2 ways just leave them go. An exception would be a deep, turned coin and I guess we all dig an iffie now and then but most of the time a non repeatable signal is ignored..I would spend a little time on a deep iffie as sometimes its tough to get a repeatable signal unless you go from all angles..Field time and reading Mikes CZ page should allow you to become quite proficient, but it don't come overnight....

I need to update that page as its been a while. It was actually too hot yesterday to spend too much time detecting but I will hit it again sometime.Your right about most of those one ways being trash though I did get a nice walker years ago that didnt repeat at ninety degrees:))

Got blindsided with that one and know Mike is a gentlemen and should rename the page( CZ users Bible) Used every CZ model ever made since 92 and have to admit the CZ3D is a bit of a different animal..
