First Complete Tombac

I have found literally hundreds of buttons, nearly all civilian. In the past I have found pieces of tombac buttons, but this is my first that is totally intact. It really surprised me. The VDI was 26 on my DFX, which is generally reserved for the old style pull tabs.

I cleaned it using aluminum jelly. It came out looking like it did the day it was dropped, some 200 years ago.

Yes, those are rare to find complete. The shanks are usually the first to go. Nice button!

Two hundred years underground without a problem, and after one day I dropped it on the kitchen tile, and the shank broke!:stretcher:
